The Orlando Rugby Griffins Foundation was established to support and advance the sport of rugby throughout Central Florida particularly focused on rugby at the youth level. We provide financial assistance for a variety of projects including facilities, equipment, coaching and operational expenses such as travel, lodging and meals as well as funding medical/trainer assistance to make the game as safe as possible.
The Orlando Rugby Griffins Foundation provides a resource outside of the traditional sources of player dues and sponsorship. We provide an agile and flexible platform to help meet expenses outside of the normal budget (such as playoffs), special projects (short and long term) and programs to enhance and improve the rugby experience.

The Orlando Rugby Griffins Foundation was originally formed in 2008 by a dedicated group of Orlando RFC members headed by Bob Goddard. They wanted to create a organization dedicated to the introduction and advancement of rugby in the Central Florida area with a special emphasis on promoting youth rugby. Over the years, the Foundation has been involved in many aspects of promoting rugby. The Foundation has committed to provide a scholoarship for select youth players who are planning to play rugby at the collegiate level. The Foundation has also provided sponsorship for numerous players to attend player clinics, representational side rugby and collegiate recruiting opportunities.
The Orlando Rugby Griffins Foundation is a federal 501c3 organization and all donations to the foundation are tax deductable. Donations can be provided to be used at the Foundations discression or can be earmarked for a particular purpose but all donations are appreciated.
The Orlando Griffins Rugby Foundation has had an instrumental role in the creation of youth rugby in Central Florida. Our youth team has won multiple state championships and has competed nationally representing Orlando at the highest level of national competition. Covid had a disastrous effect on our ability to field a team and we are now in the process of rebuilding the youth program to encompass both boys and girls high school teams and drilling down to the younger levels. Any support you can provide will be greatly appreciated and we will acknowledge that support with a document for your tax planning.
Rugby has been played in the Central Florida area since 1970 with hundreds of men, women, boys and girls enjoying the comraderie of this challenging team sport while learning discipline, leaderhip skills team dynamics and dedication in the process.
